Redesign of garden
the circle is a very small patio area in the same coloured stone, enough for a garden bench and at about 45 degrees across the circle is a small deck which is slightly raised to create height interest.  We have a huge cornish palm growing up through by Kate Bradbury

Wyevale...
it will make the difference to getting me up the hills before I consider it! It sounds like it does make quite a difference then.   We visited Wyevale at Louth last Saturday and bought 2 packets of seed. 1 broad beans and 1 radishes, both reduced to half price by David K

Is it me?
and an hour later it's frozen, might just manage broad beans in my raised bed. Sharpening the garden tools and watching GW is my limit of gardening activity at the mo. The A-Z of Gardening's been good, and I'm glad they're now showing this and GW on sunday by JANAPANA

Plants still in flower?
? . I m new to vegetable gardening, I had a wonderful year last year, and the aqua dulcie broad beans I planted in November are about 6 inches high, is this unusual? Here in the South East ive still got Lobelia in bloom in a pot in the garden, its a self by Kate Bradbury

with slugs - not sure if this is down to my organic gardening or my neighbour's obession with slug pellets - I fear the latter.  Tonight I came home from work and had a wander round my very wet garden, and found an invasion of the little buggers on my broad by gardeningfantic

Talkback: Mouse in the compost bin
