Cells or Flats and for what?

what jobs done over easter.
planted 60 broad beans into small pots in the GH and finally planted tomato seeds into modules in windowsill propagators in the south-facing front room bay (they're usually up in 4 days as it's so warm in there, after which they'll go into the cooler by barbury gardener

First time grower and in need of advice!

into perennial planting schemes, with maybe the odd veg. Veg seeds sown in march (peas and broad beans) are only just germinating intermittently. and nothing else is appearing except for a small row of spring onions, which have germinated this year for the first by susan howard2

inside for a good three months before they can be planted out, but broad beans are hardy enough and will pretty much grow through anything (in my experience!). As Happymarion says, it's fun to try and not too expensive. What's the worst that could happen by Gardening Express

that i couldnt grow veg all around it as it wouldn't look right(by the other half!). My solution has been to choose vegetables that have different coloured stems, flowers and or pods. I have 5 large wigwams different varieties of beans that are begining by abbed

Answer to Penny,My students absolutely love growing vegetables, but they like to take responsibility for their own plants (ie, these broad beans were planted by William and Jacob and so they are the ones to tie them in and pick them). Ownership by penny from Sohar in Oman
