Brocolli and other brassicas
my own this year as well. I have Cauli's, Cabbage, Carrots and Broccoli growing at the moment, but I chose the Early Purple Sprouting broccoli, and that won't be ready until next year now. But it has had an excellent germination rate. Only a Wilkos by Madeleine51

them this way in future. hi alliam having trouble with my cabbage seedlings they keep dying on me the leaves go dry and fold under themseleves have tried different composts but it keeps happening any ideas I am having the same problem growing cabbage by Estelle the inept

when to plant
or sheltered, they like a slight lime soil, we would scatter some lime on the ground when we limed the cabbage patch. The Autumn leaves, basal leaves, will die off when it puts up the stem, they grow to three or four feet in height so may need staking though we by julia Butler

.  Dont forget all the chinese cabbages, etc they like growing at this time of year see what veggie plants your garden centre has for sale, as plants at this stage will do much better. There hopefully  is 8 to 12 weeks  of summer growing left. You've loads by SarahTho

) then you cultivate it as you would a flowering plant. If you're growing something for it's leaves or roots (e.g. lettuce, cabbage, beetroot etc) then just imagine it's a foliage plant.  Seemples (so they tell me)  I always go for climbing French beans by jackie frost

in its first year but I haven't been as lucky! It's only a small garden but I've got 5 buddleias and a verbena bonariensis which has done brilliantly, along with lots of other tasty plants, plus I don't keep the lawn immaculate - I let the clover grow by John Waters
