I have a white camellia that has been growing in a pot for several years; it's now too large/heavy to move around.   I'd like to plant it in the garden - your advice please, on the best location.   There are two areas with enough room, one quite by pinkpeony

Camellia
I have found a camellia that will go in my family border. It will go in a north facing border which puts it in shade nearly all day. Would it grow OK or would it need more light? mine grow in a fairly shady garden ,they like a lot of water by Rosa carriola

Minimum planter size for black bamboo
vigorous plant. They are greedy and thirsty too.It will grow in your container but bigger the better for me. I love trough planters so I would say give it a go and see how you get on... like everything else in pots we know we're going to have to deal by KatieC

Which shrub to plant in this situation...?
would be what kind of hardy, evergreen, flowering shrub would grow well in this size container and position? Ideally I could leave the container in position during the winter months too. I am a novice gardener (but trying to learn!) and would appreciate by Mrs W

cardamines thrive there. No chance of growing them in my garden, the soil's like dust. without being caught could gather some off the wild plant and mimic its growing conditions Derek Haven't seen any sign ofmy C. pratensis this year figrat but I'm sure by nutcutlet

How did I kill my Calluna?
.  Do you think I've frazzled them in my south facing spot? Or could it be watering them with tap water? (my camellia are ok though and they've been tap watered so it can't be that my tap water is very alkaline.) I grow mine in Eracsius compost  and give by Supernoodle

Problem with camellia
I have a large camellia which has been in the garden for ten years. Flowers beautifully every spring. Unfortunately the weight of the snow has broken one of the main branches which I have removed this morning. There is another large branch by Boardy

camelia yellowing
My camelia is in a large pot and flourishing in everyway with lots of flowers and growing well. However the leaves are gradually going from glossy dark green to rather pale greeny yellow mottled. I realise it is lacking something but please could by Puffin2

covering large slope
Having eventually cleared 5 acres of northfacing slope of Rhodo ponticum and laurel, I now need lots of large spreading plants. I have many camellias and species rhodos but need acreage.  I wondered if the montana clematis would work, also by Kate42
