Talkback: Growing canna lilies
is late for us old folk!! No fuss, easy to understand information. Thank you. I have a beautiful Canna and as I never had one before now, I am not sure how to care for it. If I lift it now or do I wait until it dies down andthere are no leaves left by minniedriver

overwintering
is growing well. Should I have treated it as my Canna Lily and kept it in slightly damp soil in a frost free place over winter? The Canna Lily is now growing strongly. I was under the same impression and on inspecting mine today found it had rotted away by willowplanter

Talkback: Glory be!
that has flowered for 2 years running. I covered the crown with a good layer of straw and peat, and a big pot. Do you think it will bloom again this year or have I been foolhardy and lost the plant? I can't see any new shoots yet. I also grow canna lilies by Lorrie Flannery

Talkback: Gardeners' World Live
Can anyone help me with advice on the care of Cannas during the winter. I live in rural Herefordshire and assume that I cannot leave them out in the garden during the winter. Do they need to come indoors in pots as I do not have a greenhouse by Brian

Bare root plants
My efforts to grow bare root plants are a disaster.  I follow the rules of soaking and spreading roots etc; but the autumn raspberries, blue verbascum, and perennial geranium, not a sign of them.  I have planted canna lilies, in pots and started by mrswick
