Radishes
sown, mooli are a radish and there's also a black variety, both grow to about the size of a carrot/parsnip. Mooli are better sown in spring and autumn, I've just finished picking the last of my mooli and planted out black radish, it forked last year, I by reg gregory

Multi-composet
This will sound rather silly to all you experienced gardeners, but it is OK for me to use multi-compost to grow my veg. in the greenhouse in, or do I have to use superdooper stuff?  I don't want to poison anyone!! Multi-purpose is fine- I use by Julie J

Uses for last years grow bags/compost
I have posted on the veg threads and will be trying carrots in some of my old compost. However has anyone sown perennial seeds in used compost, does it work!? I'm wanting to sow my gazania kiss series seeds soon (not sure when and how yet by Greenbucket

Veg Growing Plan
grown parsnips, but I grow carrots in the large plastic (tarpaulin type) containers from Marshalls. I think they are 3 for about 11/12 £. Good luck! good luck with your plan,what ever you achieve will be a lesson in success or failure but  you will learn by Brycey D

Starting seeds
Okay, silly question here. We have a new 8x10 greenhouse and want to grow veg and flowers from seed. However, it is unheated (no electricity) and it seems like it's too cold for the seeds to germinate out there and we won't have enough window sills by DavesBonnyLass

Potato blight soil
