Sprouting Brocoli.
I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem or could someone tell me why it happens and how to prevent it? I would really love to resolve this problem as I and my family enjoy brocoli and would really like to have a successful growing season by Gerry5

nettles as a base for an infusion holds the caterpillors at bay god knows in a use for them i live near seville in spain where nettles grow real big so a use for them would be great garlic was also mentioned my garlic beds are great so any ideas would by j.simpson

Veg to sow in February...
I'm beginning to get sowing fingers so have begun to plan this years veg plots...what to grow...where and when... so went through last years garden diary. Looks like the only veg which survived an early sowing were pea's early onward and brussels by Zoomer44

flower head was the size of a small cauliflower. In the past two years it has grown three buds but one of them was half eaten overnight by slugs, and this year the third bud looked promising but didn't manage to flower. I wonder if I should feed it; when by Rick

Need help
to do as well which is 2 packets of different courgettes, flower sprout, Carrot, parsley, dwraf french beans, beetroot, leeks, 2 varieties lettuce, cauliflower, and 2 packets of different broccoli, onion. Then there is the cut flower which is aster by haggi961

new to growing veg have also sowed some courgette sweet peppers tomatoes broccoli cauliflower and leeks I grew these last year on a spare piece of my allotment and they produced a lot of smallish cucumbers, very tasty, but I found that if ;left to grow by chilli lover
