Old fashioned fruit trees
Does anybody know where I can buy old fashioned fruit trees that will grow to the size I remember when I was young. Our cherry trees must have been at least 30foot tall and were an amazing site in the spring. All I can find are the dwarf or semi by Jean Willis

Talkback: Tomatoes: best varieties for flavour
, they do some good flavoured cherry toms, thank god. I grow Sungold in my conservatory - didn't need to buy any seeds last year as seedlings came up in some of my flowerpots and I just transplanted them. I really must stop eating them like sweets straight by bobnmal

Talkback: Blackbirds and blackberries
I say let the birds eat the berries. Birds add so much to the garden. In fact I think I'll grow some blackberries just for the birds next year in my garden. This year has been great for young ones in my garden ive had sparrows, blue tits, great tits by Grannyanne

Golden rule
and then the plant - they are very forgiving, and want to grow, so any mistakes will correct themselves in due course.  And remember that not everything needs to be pruned - some shrubs prefer to be left alone. Just remember that 'Growth follows the knife'.  So ask by Cia

The free tomato seeds on the mag cover
. The tomatoes I am growing thsi year are Losetto, which are nothing like Maskotka. Maskotka are, as far as I remember, medium-sized rather than a true cherry tomaoto. but they still had the normal tomato colouring and skin texture, no spotting or toughness by Sandra 2
