circular formal raised bed what centre piece
Hi got a number of buxus plants and thinking of this layout  What would you put in the centre a conifer was suggested but i felt maybe a standard rose or a weeping willow or maybe a cherry tree. or an acer griseum or a Tibetan cherry for its by blackest

north faceing wall
is ideal for a morello cherry tree...fan trained, it would look great. manythanks   V Pyracantha will grow in shade but it won't have so many flowers, therefore it won't have so many berries. I have one under a tree and it has enough berries to make a show by Alan4711

restriction? I have a cherry tree(stella) in a tub which starts to grow cherries but they all fall of it has done this for the last 2 years any suggestions as to why the cherries fall off i am wondering if any one out there can help me. can you take hard wood by Susan St James

hedge, and reluctantly decided to cut the cherry tree down and remove as much of its roots as possible. I also dug out the tree stumps. Ive since replanted with new privet hedge which is growing healthily. Armillatox is supposed to treat areas suffering by Christine Eyre

dead tree fungi
Hi all, and a Happy New Year to everyone. I have a dead flowering cherry tree in my garden, which I have fixed a trellis to for growing climbing roses on.  The tree is now covered in fungi which I gather is breaking down the tree, does anyone know by Dave17

Potatoes losing their leaves
Hi, My potato crop has suddenly lost all their leaves and I am just left wth a bare stalk and on some, rock hard, green cherry tomatoe looking fruit. Does anyone know what has happened and will the crop be OK to harvest in a few weeks time? I only by Jan19

Plants for scent.
would like to know what others grow for scent and perhaps I could find some space in my garden for more plants . I already grow; Night scented stock. Messy but glorious. Philadelphus - 3 varieties so far but Belle Etoile is the most scented I could find by Muvs Dashwood

Tree ideas.
in the corner of the front garden but close to a wall next to the road. It is on the north side of the house.The space to fill is about 8m diameter. whilst we loved the cedar, the perpetual shade and acid conditions created prevented us from growing much beneath by bluelizard

cordoned fruit trees
be better. Don't grow a tip bearing apple as these aren't suited to being grown this way. I would also suggest pears grown as cordons rather than plum or cherry which are probably too vigorous and not ideal for cordons (free standing, ie standard, or fans by hawk and rose
