Talkback: Growing citrus plants
My lemon grows good and produces white buds and flowers, but still after 5 years still has not produced any fruit. what can I do. i have seven young citrus plants(lemons) and have found this informaion so easy to follow and very infromative. thanyou by galloway130

, strange round puffy looking things, I have all but sawn if off to about a foot high,  in my area lemons grow like wild fire and have tons of lemons, not so with my  tree. Any suggestions ?  Astrid, my 30+ year old  tree from an uncertain citrus pip has by Astrid Bell

Whats going wrong!?
Hi, I have been growing passion fruit plants for a few months and they have reached about 4ft in height. I had about 4 of them so decided to plant two outside. However, after about a week the leaves started to turn white and they both died! I do by NewbieGardener

a conservatory you could try growing citrus plants from seed - I've grown small plants of lemon, orange and grapefruit - no fruit but little flowers that filled the conservatory with the most delicious scent and yet people with hayfever by kerri

help needed with identification
Whilst walking through the snow I saw this wonderful hedge, about 3' high, covered in what I originally thought were small citrus fruit.  I know someone will identify it for me and can I propagate from the seeds I have please? My first thought by break23

How do I ensure that my cuttings from roses will live to grow in these cold temperatures. Do I keep them in grit, sand, compost and lime? in the garden or in a suitable pot? Cant share the enthusiasm for woodlice, but I think of the Sal by Dre

 snap or sheer, its too big Also, don't bulk up on this type of material too much, its slower to decompose. Thank you Wintersong. Are there any types of shrub leaves/prunings you wouldn't put in the compost bin? Anything too acidic or citrus plants in general by Chris Norton

and compost my kitchen waste and that of my neighbours. My worms don't care for onion skins or citrus fruit but process everything else and I crumble up eggshells to give them some grit. I feed them and the birds before myself. The productivity in my garden by Neil

Talkback: Planting seeds and germination
should be done with them and when should i re-plant them. I have always thought if you grow with out heat that means you only have rays of sun to warm the plants? You do not burn gas or any other fuel to stop the plants from frezeing, though 4c might by asparagus

looked into setting up a hive a few years ago but just to buy al the equipment was going to cost a small fortune so, instead, I garden without chemicals, I've made an insect hotel and I grow plants for pollen and nectar and get lots of bees andother by Beekeeper Gardener
