What is your kind of garden?
structure which is lost in summer frothiness. No cottage garden for me but no bare earth either. Don't like annuals in garden, except in pots I grow all types of plants in my garden, shrubs to give height and structure, climbing roses, clematis, jasmine by Gardening Grandma

Recycling things to use in the garden
of plastic milk cartons - cloche to protect newly emerging clematis/lupins/ hostas from slugs. Or, upside down with cap on and pressed into soil, beer trap for slugs. Fruit punnets already have holes punched in so are useful as planting trays or for cut by Sam Glendinning
