Clematis Rhapsody
just about everything we can, and clematis will be part of that, whereas many nurseries of course concentrate on the plants they are wishing to grow and sell.  Always good people from whm to ask advice though, as they have superior knowledge, even by Lucy3

it will grow by doing this. It is called 'mile a minute' for a reason, but is ideal for quickly covering fences and sheds/walls. Try Clematis Tangutica as well, if you google these then select images you'll get an idea of what's about. Good Luck. I'm thinking by Carol Mc

Honeysuckle and Clematis Problem
the wall and railings and tie it in so it covers as much area as possible and it will grow away just fine.  I'd give it a mulch of some good compost as well (not touching the stem). You'll be able to rejuvenate the clematis too, but we need to know what by briffster

Sweet peas or clematis in pots
Hello, I have lots of sweet peas ready to go out and two celmatis. I really fancy something like this growing up beside the patio doors - does anyone know whether either of these would be ok in a pot against a south facing wall? If so, any ideas by PaperFlowers

short climbers???
anything that fruits preferably otherwise something that looks pretty and doesn't want cutting several times a year.  Thanks very much. Most climbers grow very tall but Jasmine Trachelospermum, the star Jasmine might suit. It's evergreen and once planted by cloud8

Climber wanted for a shady wall.
My seven year old granddaughter has been given a patch of garden to cultivate and has asked me to help her with it. We are both quite excited about it!  I have bought some potatoes. onions, gladioli for the sunny side and hope to grow some beans by daydaisy

Clematis cuttisngs
cold frame over winter.  About a quarter to a third of them usually take. I was going to say that clematis cuttings are usually taken when the plant is growing strongly July/August. but B the G has said it I have only ever succeeded with a semi by lavenderlass
