a go. My wife roasts parsnips in honey and maple syrup. My vocabulary is not of a high enough degree to enable me to express the amazing flavour This is the first time that i am going to grow parsnips.I thought that it would be easy bit it is not by gardeningeek

bluebells. This year the achillleas, next year? who knows Broad beans, chard (it would be spinach if the stuff would grow for me!) Roses,roses, and just a few more roses. What about roses Artjak? Can't grow them here....wish I could Verdun, I think I by Gardengirl..

-raised members of the solanum family - especially aubergines, which require a long growing season - should be grown early as otherwise summer is over before they have come into flower. I wouldn't advise growing courgettes or pumpkins now, as they will be growing by Gardening Express

Talkback: Blackfly on broad beans
wonder if wasps also eat the blackfly as our beans are clean this year but we have 2 wasp nests one in a concrete bird box & one in an old dovecote. If I am to continue growing Vegs I must get a way of controlling SLUGS. Would it help if I grew a lot by hereisabee

Filling a new raised bed.
rarely had to buy veg. This year I am using grids as I think you can produce more than in rows as can grow things closer together. My beds are 4ft x 8ft.x 1ft the new one will just be for squash/courgette I found with all the rain last year that my beds by Dave Tremlin

Pot Grown Potatoes
, salad leaves, aubergines, tomatoes, courgettes in pots..the only thing i would say is when growing any root veg in pots make sure the pots are deethis is my 1st year at planting vegp enough or you will end with with stubby veg....this is my 1st year by alisondicky

How To Start Veg Growing
courgette plants. If you see an available space - put something quick growing in. I only have a smallish space and I aim tobyrow something to eat everyday of the year. Easy in summer. Not so easy in winter. Usually just a few herbs by late winter by tony68
