Help :(
I put my cucumber, tomato, courgette, pepper and some other tender seedlings outside today to soak up the lovely sunshine. I went to fetch my daughter from school, and we had a sudden bout of heavy rain and hailstones.......   The seedlings by Emma1978

Talkback: 'Grow Your Own' Week
Adam, this is good practical advice and I enjoy your tips in the magazine. But am I the only one who struggles with wanting to grow vegetables? I'm doing it because I feel that I should -- I want to teach our children how, and I've been persuaded by Jools

Re-using polystyrene for veg seedlings
I have about six ordinary polystyrene boxes that had bedding plants in, you know the ones that come in 6 3x2 cells. Would they be ok for putting veg seeds in ( courgette, cucumber, tomato ) ? as I'd quite like to reuse them instead of them going by In focus

Talkback: Wet weather on the veg plot
in the ground, my potato's are a joke and all my pumpkins, courgetts and marrows have rotted. I am sick sick sick of this weather. I spend hours minding my window boxes, from growing seeds to planting out and all I seem to be doing is dead heading flowers by YewJay

Talkback: Brussels sprouts
. Never mind, we had loads of beans and courgettes and cabbage and leeks and turnips. And the jungle gave us lots of blackberries. Next year we will have sprouts. I planted 2 purple sprout plants from seed at Easter last year, and they grew 5' tall by gaynorthegardener

change soil?
50cms Hi Cat poo is unpleasant for us but won't hurt the soil, there's always something sh...ing in the garden, that's nature. Weeds need digging out if they're invasive perennials or digging in otherwise.  What are you going to grow? Hmm well I by VirginGardener

What's it like in your garden?
.  The cotoneasterwas in full flower by 9th May last year but this year it is nowhere near flowering. This will be the third year I have kept visual records of my borders to capture the beauty of the plants I choose to grow and also to help me make by Wintersong
