Sweet peas and potted bulbs
As an avid watcher of Gardeners World, I follow Monty's advice.  I planted some early sweet peas as per his trial.  I have them in the green house.  Nipped out the growing tips as suggested, but they have grown away like mad.  Going to have to put by Ron Langley

Talkback: Planting spring bulbs
't grow - you might have the perfect conditions for them. They grow best in grass or well-drained but damp soil in the sun or half shade. If you don't let them dry out completely they should be ok. PS - great news about the crocuses. Plant them somewhere by hayinwood

Talkback: How to create an autumn pot display
Has anyone had any experience of growing Saffron Crocus. I have just bought some and wondered if anyone had any ideas about good companion plants. I have panted these in a large container for the present as a precaution against snails and slugs by Newcastle

Spring ideas
arrives. It's getting a bit late for some bulbs but you can certainly still plant daffodils and crocus, and tulips next month. Avoid snowdrops, though - they will have dried out out of the ground and probably won't grow. You can plant tulips until December by Emmaandsam Emmaandsam

in the crocuses. Any suggestions?? We now live in France and not only do we have the attacks by rabbits above the ground, but also have animals called "rat moles", which are under the ground and eat anything growing there as well. We have caught one by jude
