. People who grow lots of hellebores also hae trouble with black death if they do not spread them out a bit. Makes you think nature knows best, Pippa, and large greenhouses with thousands of plants in them are not what cyclamen plants like. Perhaps we by gardnerjon

Cyclamen
Can anyone tellme where to buy cyclamen tubers ? I have been told that the plants available in the shops may not grow next year and that the only sure way is to buy the tubers as these will grow and spread year after year ? is this true ? Any help by Andrew Short

Looking after alpines
. I don't want to grow alpines outside. My question is how do I look after the plants ( minature daffs, tulips, irises, saxifrage,eranthis,cyclamen etc.) when they finish flowering, so that they reflower just as well next season? I could bin them by Woodgreen wonderboy

How to Cover Ground in the Shade
, a place of contemplation.  The grass under the tree, with table and chairs, does not grow much. So what can we do about the bare ground? My first thought is to put paving of some sort down ,leaving a clear circle of soil round the catalpa trunk. I by Lluvia

what can i plant for autumn and winter flowering...and
...any veggies i can grow. bit sad now its turning colder and everythings going to die. what can i plant now to ensure garden has colour. and can i grow any food? i think you spend spring and summer doing a lot of work in the garden and then feel by filmbuffy
