lawn improvement
I have a small lawn that lays in partial shade of a large oak tree, so it doesn't get its full quota of sunshine ( When we get it!) . I feed it regularly in the growing season, but it always struggles to thicken up. Would it help if I added daisies by artychris

can start perenials off early for an autumn planting. I think its best to only grow wallflowers once in the same place though. You could still plant daffodils and tulips, you will find some good bargains in the garden centers. Most daffodils flower by CuriousGardener

Peony won't flower!
to it and last year it made a feeble attempt to produce another couple of flowers,again they failed to impress. I have tried all sorts of things to get it to flower.It produces a very fine display of red leaves but not much else.It grows close to a conifer by Klink

Cat Friendly Plant Suggestions

:-( I too suffer from SAD but since I planted hundreds of Daffodils which start flowering in early January my SAD condition has ceased. I have chosen Tete a Tete as the taller ones are flattened as soon as they appear by the high winds we get up here. I by lorrie-koolkats

Nightmare Garden To Design Around - Help Needed
also got a lot of moss growing on it. I'd really like to make it useable but I hate how ugly the incredibly steep bank is that goes up the side to the farmers border and I'm not sure what to do along the side which leads to the road.  I would love by Myfallenheart
