Help Please!
it pushes up the odd shoot - I would like to put them outside in the greenhouse asap. My Dahlia imperialis is in the bathroom (south facing window) and is romping away as it is inside. I want it to grow tall this year. by JojoRose

seed trouble
Hi all, am finding planting seeds a bit hit and miss, is this normal or am i doing something wrong, zinnia, cosmos, marigolds, some dahlias and a few sea holly came up lovely but naga chilli didnt show or stock, aster, red rudbeckia and poppies by Buttercup123

Slugs may destroy my life
to put up with lace Hostas but it's worth it  Pellets are the only thing for me, and I grow loads of hostas (in pots) and dahlias. I also have a garden full of birds. by Rampant climber

new seeds, bulbs and plants
cosmos but then i saw some lovely campanulas in Lidl yesterday in white and purple and tis the time of year to divide them... might have to spend a few quid tomorrow im always saying ill use what ive got first, but like to buy to grow different annuals by 80smaniac

Could anyone give me some advice on how to plant them. Bought 5 at Schiphol last night as I always wanted to grow them. The bag doesn't give any instructions bar plant April/May. They are currently in the fridge awaiting your advice. I have grown by Swedboy

sod, if you know what I mean. Red dahlia. I think you are right. A raised bed with planting to disguise it. You would want plants that would grow in heavy clay then? I grow a lovely yellow privet...ligustrum Aureum ..... that would look good by * Red Dahlia *

Talkback: Growing summer bulbs
irises but not as tall as the summer ones and is a lovely soft blue colour. I've come to the conclusion the only quiet time in the garden is when it is under snow! When is the best time to plant dahlias and is it a good idea to start Dahlias off first by HONEYBUG1
