onions? Annie - I used to lift all my dahlias but last year decided to cover them with a mulch of manure and this year they have produced a wonderful show. I will leave them in the ground this year too. I've had great success in my first year of growing by sandi

Storing Dahlia Tubers
I have read many articles and watched several video clips on methods of storing Dahlia Tubers each one differing in some way from the next. I would value comments on the essential points to watch out for during the overwintering process. My home by Malcolm Harrison

When is the best time to winter my dahlias and geraniums as they still in full bloom? I have grown Sunflowers for the Gardeners World seed trial, some of mine have gone mouldy too I think it must be to do with the awful wet weather we have had by Plants

Colour. In garden
strong (gaudy) colours dahlias are a good option. You can buy them in March and they should flower from July to the frosts. If you want to grow flowers from seed Cosmos are good for late colour, they also do a great white. I also have some salvias by Pdh

Veg beds at front - how to make them attractive
of erecting/growing some sort of windbreak if the plot's that exposed.   How about some photos of the front garden; it would help people to give you advice. Plant some low shrubs round the outside to break the wind and give you some colour. * Red Dahlia by * Red Dahlia *

twenty. I have also grown Dahlia's from seed, which germinate very well and although they are supposed to be annuals, they still develop a tuber, so I treat these in the same way. Growing from seed you get a varied colour selection of both flowers by titaflan
