I have a planter either side of my North facing Front door - and over the past 5 years have lost 1 or both of various sets : Box Trees, Christmas Trees, Fuchsia Trees.  The volume of losses are getting rather expensive and I wondered by Planter2

sciriad flies-more of a nuisance than a pest-they live on the top of too damp compost That would not cause the symptoms with the fuchsias-it may be too cold for red spider mite If the cuttings are rooted my advice would be to remove all the leaves by Eileen2711

Low Maintenance Garden Boarders for Novice
with nutcutlet, in that it's your choice, buy what appeals to you allowing consideration for soil, i.e. whether you can grow Azaleas and suchlike... or not... for a white Hydrangea, if you can seek out 'Lanarth White', this should suit your border.  It withstands by Sion1981

about where you start a discussion in forum topics-they all appear on the forum in any case Now fuchsias-you are leaving it a bit late-but you can try this. Extract the plants trim back by about half-remove all leaves and then cram each one into a pot by tina 5

plants are better value. Have a look at perennial wallflowers Erysimum 'Bowles's Mauve' or Lavenders, Hebes are good but a little boring. Hardy fuchsias. Daffodils are good value. I would also consider growing cosmos from seed. All hardy annuals are good by natalia85

bought for me by dad,really want to know how to over winter it too. Are you using fresh compost Tina for the pansies and violas? Absolutly,miracle grow,well supposed to be in my case a complete no grow!! Plenty of drainage holes? If your fuchsia is called by tina 5

I am reading more and more about people using water for fuchsias,how successful is this method ? and what is the procedure for doing this. Just take cuttings in the normal way-cutting just below a leaf-node-put some cling-film over a glass of water by nodlisab

Grow House
Can anyone help, I have a small wooden grow house which I have been trying to overwinter various plants and cuttings.  Just recently I have noticed a lot of the plants are rotting. I haven't been watering so could this be caused by condensation by Eddie R
