"desirable" plants that become invasive monsters
come to mind. Yet they are beautiful plants and Japanese anemones were recently recommended by Carol Klein as her plant of the week. i still grow J anemones and love them.There is also a beautiful fuchsia-like plant whose name I can't remember by Verdun

Plant in pot leftover from last year - identify?
- but it looks as if it was more bushy in it's original state.  Maybe it was meant to be an annual but just don't remember it.  Not sure whether to keep it or get rid.  Does it look like a tiny fuchsia? It looks a bit like a Petunia of some sort to me - not sure by yarrow2

Hanging baskets and window boxes
Sanvitalia? these have a mass of small yellow daisies all summer long Pam LL x     Your hanging basket is lovely Lilylouise but I should have mentioned that I also dislike begonias.   I usually grow fuchsias in the baskets on the north side.   I do like by obelixx

Talkback: Leafcutter bees
to feed on then seal up the cane with the cut leaf, then next spring the " Baby " grows and hey-presto a new baby Bee,  NEVER,NEVER use PESTICIDE, you will kill all the Bees etc, I think this must have been my problem last year when i planted 10 laurels by tessa1958

Sizzling Summer Plant Deal
fuchsias, petunias and geraniums. Other plants it might contain include begonias, dianthus', becopas, asters, violas and bidens. Thanks Most of those will require TLC over winter. You may be OK with the dianthus. Mostly annuals by the sound of it by pash2

Plants still in flower?
much different garden tomorrow.  Perhaps I should have picked myself a bunch of rosebuds after all. Still have hardy fuchsias in flower bless 'em and I'm in the Midlands! Also have some pelargoniums in pot that I forgot to take in and they're fine by Kate Bradbury

Are Hostas really for shade?
dry? The shrubs will take a considerable amount of water! When I gardened on london clay the hostas stayed in big pots - far too many slugs! Here they grow with hardy fuchias and epimediums, though the fuchsias are somewhat reduced this year by awful by Beverley Jones

Downie, the blackbids leave the fruit on the tree until the ground freezes, this is obviously their emergency reserve, I grow a lot of different lavenders from seed, other bird/insect magnets are oregano, rosemary and ecchium blue bedder,all have a by determinedpeterplant

Spring -summer
to go at . I think I should have some blossom around too . I have made a note of one to get . The other thing to think of is which plants give real vlaue for money by flowering for a long time, like fuchsias and cranesbills and osteospermum, especially by Bunny..
