Who ate all the carrots?
Hello, I'm new to growing veg and I planted out some Early Nants, but they have all gone. I suspect some thing has eaten them, do you think it most likely pigeons (or magpies)? I've seen one sitting on the GH and we have loads of magpies. I hadn by Tina_i_am

chickens and slug pellets
growing. I do feed slugs to the girls its very satisfying. Thanks for any advice Mmm. I use pellets and they work great on stopping slugs eating my plants. From what I have read the side effects of birds and animals eating poisoned slugs is negligible by chicken!

Lily beetle
, urghh ! On a recent tv gardening program, a lady who grew lilies commercially, advised a spray of garlic 'juice'. She didn't say any more than that so I don't know quantities or how to make up? Would growing galic near the lilies do the same? Has anyone by SilverFairy

Veg growing inside
What are the best vegetables to grow inside. Have had success with various chilli varieties in the past as well as herbs and will be growing them again this year, but I was wondering what else you all think Is worth a try. We have large south facing by Mattwestyorks

at the moment has carrots along with the garlic growing away quite happily. Can I clean the affected area now or should I wait until Autumn and what should I use please? I have 10 raised beds and none of the other beds appear to have been affected. We have a by Lainey

all veg and herb and what to do now
and growing like a goodun. My questions are....can i trim the herbs and will they keep growing, if so how much,  and will they all last during the winter. And for the veg, when do i know when to start uprooting stuff (potatoes, carrot, beets onions, garlic by tommysmith

ones,it mind boggling. I think I will try to get some seed to grow some for Christmas maybe Juliette or Casablanca. Think I will try some roasted with garlic and rosemary for tea tonight, might add a bit of flavour and keep their shape!. Thanks once by lovetogarden

and crocosmia I think growing through and the garlic is looking good. It has snowed very discreetly this p.m. but I want to be out there gardening! Yes - come on spring. My Hellebore are beautiful. Even my snowdrops haven't opened yet I managed to do 3 hours by nigelcoad
