A Laurel Hedge no more!
, continually growing new shoots making it wider and wider! But hazels can be cppiced at any time and the wood can be used as stakes, for weaving fences and for firewood. I think I'd have to put them in round the laurel stumps, can't see anyway I could get them by Moonlit Hare

Suggestions for trees
I'm looking to plant a tree at the end of my garden to give a bit of privacy and interest. Preferably something that flowers but grows up to 10 metres high with a spread of up 5 metres. Any suggestions? All depends really on what you want   Crab by Bettsy

Rustic trellis
do to it. I haven't found hazel lasts long when pushed into the ground, soon rots. Maybe better with off the ground fence panels. No I was going to use them horizontally and this would attach to my pergola , I have had willow trying to grow itself by bunnysgarden
