andrew Hellebores are excellent for late winter colour on evergreen lush leaved plants.  Wallflowers too....albeit for one season only Mahonias provide scent and colour December - January, Daphne's scent and colour in late winter, viburnums, winter by Andrew Rothwell

Long, thin, narrow strip to plant up...
lavender hidcote in the middle...then perhaps a Fuschia and ending with Erysimum Bowles Mauve at the other end....and then fill the gaps with lambs tongue..heuchera...hellebore's...blue/pink geraniums... Will this all be too much....not sure where to begin by Wildcosmos

will surely ask you what it is if you grow it Right now I have some contrasting with hellebores, daffs, etc etc. and would not want to be without them The leaves have red, gold, olive and bronze shades. Check them out They are lovely, and I used to grow them by Verdun

HELP me please!!
shrub of mine.  Flowers all summer and is still flowering now.  Is a slow growing shrub but would need cutting back eventually if you only have a small space.  I love hellebores as they flower late winter early spring. by natalia85

.Ashwood nurseries are brilliant specialists and I buy my hellebores from them so have looked at their hepaticas too.I want some amongst my hellebores Verdun - do you think they would survive outside with hellebores ?  RdeT talked about keeping them in pots by scotkat

.What need I do I have fed them and they haven't dried out at all.I have also sprayed against insects etc. Very helpful idea, our fruit trees are so full of fruit this year theres no way they can all grow to full size. After having hardly any fruit last year by clare sinclair

please suggest plants or plant types
its perfect for growing over archways or a pergola and the bonus is that it is perfumed.  I have Rosa 'Morgan Sackler' around my seat area as it is thornless, pink, perfumed. The name is not so hot! Thank you very much donutsmrs and Daintiness by cheesey ed 4

Helleborus niger in family garden- too dangerous?
anything out of the garden without asking permission and they will be safe. Otherwise you end up growing grass and then they might just eat that after a dog/cat/pigeon/magpie/hedgehog has used it for a toiilet. . (I am being facetious by the way. I do by M F

difficult spot - shade wise!
's suggestions plus hellebores, pulmonarias, aconitums, actaeas, brunneras, dicentras, loads of things, if you google 'plants for shade' you'll get lots but remember to add your soil type. Jmeds, hiya.There's a lot to,be said for growing according to by jmeds
