Mini-orchards
I work at sea 8 months of a year and my back garden consists of grey stone slate chips and decking. I have troughs and tubs of veg and herbs along the back frence I would like to have a row of mini-fruit tress that grow no more than 2.5m high by rovarch

Sage _ Why Can't I grow it?
For some reason I cannot seem to grow sage, which is a shame because it is so tasty. When we lived in Dorset, I tried it in sandy soil in the ground but to no avail. Now that we haved moved to Devon, the herbs are in pots. The new sage plant is in a by Bulleyana_57

No Man's Land - or Woman's :-)

basil, chives and parsley
hi all, these are my herbs. what do you think? any tips? I have a few tips. You will get big plants from your Parsley seeds when sown individually. However, not with basil or chives. For your chives sow a real good pinch over the whole surface by David 25

Herb - Sweet cicely
among my cllection of herbs I have been growing for several years is Sweet cicely. Pretty ferny foliage and white flowers at this time of year followed by black seeds.I have been told that you can use it to reduce the amount of suger when cooking by Trish3
