Please help me design my garden - part 2

Problem soil near sycamore
for beneath the canopy & around the trunk- Ivies (sorry), Lamiums, Vinca, Ajuga, small spring bulbs will grow happily though these until the canopy closes over later in the yr. Cyclamen. Bergenias & Heucheras & some hardy Geraniums will cope too. More plants by Mrs MacGregor

Where do you grow your Allium's?
Sensation  is that by the time they are in flower the leaves are dying back and look tatty, so the best place to place them is in full sun but behind low perennials such as geraniums, heucheras etc or underplanting them with low growers such as forgetmenots by lucky3

ideas for a container on a SW facing wall

Spring, should I move them or give up?!   nursery, even  Mine are in shade most of the year except at the height of summer but the soil is moist even in summer and quite damp in winter.  They're growing well and spreading at a reasonable rate. Maybe yours by Jess is in the Garden
