Windy Back Garden......Help needed please.
is clay based but i have mixed alot of soil and all round compost into it. I have thought of lavender as it grows well round here so do hebes. I can't remember what euphorbias look like and I like the sound of the cistus rose will look that one up as i by tinkabell

Ideas appreciated for shrubs to create structure in my new garden
greens.   Prunus cistena crimson dwarf is a real stunner.  Pinky white flowers on red foliage. I grow couple of half standards.  The foliage colour lasts all summer. A good, similar size and shape is salix .....too late to try the name but it by happycottontail

Newhouse and new to gardening, plant type and general advice please!
but kept the greenhouse and are looking for nice plants bushes and trees to liven the garden up, to give you an idea of what I like I am growing a red and an orange acer tree and a chocolate plant, but they are too small at the moment.   We have left one by davielovesgravy

Long, thin, narrow strip to plant up...
lavender hidcote in the middle...then perhaps a Fuschia and ending with Erysimum Bowles Mauve at the other end....and then fill the gaps with lambs tongue..heuchera...hellebore's...blue/pink geraniums... Will this all be too much....not sure where to begin by Wildcosmos
