Talkback: Slugs and hedgehogs
. The first week we started this we collected and disposed of over 100 slugs! This idea was suggested by a nursery that grows Hosta's. I can confirm that our Hosta's and bedding plants have remained in full contact with their leaves since the start of nightly by Di Barker

in the centre of the hoop and grow as normal. When you transplant, allow the copper to stay on the young plant. It can be left there for years. Slugs and snails get an electric charge from the copper and they back off. As long as the copper ring/hoop is about 2 by bunnysgarden

Talkback: Slug-proof plants
slug repellent, beer traps and none have been particularly successful. I won't use pellets as I have two young children, and a pond is out for the same reason. Guess there are some things I will never get to grow! Sigh.... I dream of Hostas....!!! i by Sharon14

Talkback: Controlling slugs and snails with copper
I discovered was course sandpaper cut into 2 inch strips and stick those around the walls of the bed. Hi slug battlersI have found that my most precious hostas, which I grow in pots, are protected by placing the pots on coppers coated feet. So far by glenysbright
