iris growing
I have a SE facing Front Garden and I adore Big Blousy Bearded Irises I saw Irises Growing in shallow pans perched on raised tree trunks in the above I would like to recreate this effect . Could someone please tell me the best growing medium, what by liz14

be moved after flowering. The bulb forms are easy to split the clumps up, burying at the same depth as before. I have the rhizome irises in my garden and they don't mind being moved, in fact they will grow anywhere but prefer a sunny position.  They are one by Furballs Cattery

Looking after alpines
. I don't want to grow alpines outside. My question is how do I look after the plants ( minature daffs, tulips, irises, saxifrage,eranthis,cyclamen etc.) when they finish flowering, so that they reflower just as well next season? I could bin them by Woodgreen wonderboy

How to create base of bog garden?

blanketweed in my wildlife pond
