Windy roof garden destroying everything
Hello, I live in a flat in London and together with some neighbours we look after the roof garden. It's a big patio 8 floor up with some raised beds and lots of pots surounded by a low wall and some higher fencing at various points with ivy growing by Simon Hearn

Talkback: Plants for bees
to grow ivy, do try it. Insects of ALL kinds love it( birds too) and on a sunny day in our plot the ivy is so popular that one would swear that bees were swarming, the noise they make is so tremendous. What are the best early flowering plants for bees by Lindy

What tree is this?
if this is an obvious question but as stated I'm very much a novice! Thank you It will need attaching to wires or trellis, it doesn't dig into bricks like ivy. Here is an article about it.  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/howtogrow/7846747/How-to-grow by Daniel Williams

Under tree planting
but not full sun. I would say anything that grows in full sun, just be wary of the amount of moisture available though as the tree will take alot of it. Thanks Dave , could be trial and error then ... Goes from very wet (sloping field behind draining through by Bunny..
