Vigorous climber needed
it and give a beautiful spread of flowers through early summer, but as I say it will drop its leaves. The only thing I can think of that will cover it year round and not drop its leaves is the old Hedera ivy's, but a lot of people find these too invasive. It by Brilith

Electric strimmer purchase - advice please
We need to buy a strimmer/edge trimmer to keep the grass down where it grows up against the raised beds (and at the moment up against skips in the front garden).  We won't need it to deal with brushwood or brambles thank goodness, but something by Dovefromabove

Hi there, looking for some general advice please. We've cleared a space at the front of the house against the garage (brick wall), which is now looking a bit bear, but the ivy was an absolute beast! (we inherited it when we moved in!) We'd like by Moonlit Hare

Topiary Alternative
know why they die? I should have thought box would be quite happy there. Agree about the artificial stuff. The green's not very realistic to start with and doesn't improve with time. My first thought was to grow a  shade tolerant clematis up an obelisk by Planter2

Saint or sinner?.....don't like annuals
.  Apart from veg, nearly everything in my garden is a perennial with the majority grown from seed (which can be a bit challenging, but I like that aspect!)  I do grow a few annuals, but mostly for fragrance and to plant-up a few containers and baskets by Verdun

Getting rid of Bindweed
THAT much digging to do for the brambles, question is, will it be the same for bindweed?  I have a horrible feeling that sends it's roots out and then pops up all over the place to strangle anything useful attempting to grow. So, peeps, who's had it by Mummy Muddy Paws

Weird plant
Hi. I have found a plant growing in my front garden and I have no idea as to what it is. I stands about 8 inches tall (at the moment), has no leaves and has a velvety stem. The flowers are singular and almost hyasynth in shape and size.  It by Bekki Brown

Ground cover plants - suggestions
for any advice you can give. Kevin. You can grow Ivy as a ground cover, it would be hardy and thick like a carpet and take all sorts of abuse. Vinca might work.  Vinca Minor is said to be less invasive than Vinca Major.  It has pretty blue flowers. Vinca by Kevin
