Containers for growing vegetables
I'm new to growing vegetables in containers and am wondering if there are any issues in terms of taste/metal contamination around using tin, stainless steel or aluminium that need to be considered. I'm thinking of carrots in my old tin bath by Sarah Quinnell

Windowsill propogation
, chillis, pak choi, peppers, broccoli, lettuce, salad mix, coriander, basil..... My question is whether everything needs to be thinned down to a single seedling? For some, such as the cucumber which grows thick stems this is obvious. For other things by cxgcxg

Raised beds depth
with the dimensions of raised beds on sale at places like Screw Fix. They are 1000 x 1000 x 200mm Isn't 200mm is little shallow given in real terms the soil will only be 175mm deep? Thanks, Mark       It will depend what you intend to grow eg lettuce or potatoes by movingpictureTV.com

New gardener new raised bed
Hi, I've read the other newbie posts about their new veggies/raised beds. I had started my lettuce/radish/carrots/spinach from seed on window sills. Following the advice on this site, I pricked them out and kept in doors. Yesterday I built a 1meter by Sinevegas

Why Are My Potatoes Producing Tomatoes
though, I'm discovering all sorts of weird and wonderful information on here. Who would have thought that growing your own veg could be so delightfully lethal.  The juice of Lettuce is a quite strong narcotic, bet you did not know that either. Any by TheSloth
