Potted Lilly Companions Please
lilies. I thought it would be interesting to grow a blue-flowering climber (Ipomoea) up a tall orange lily.I found 3 problems: Lilies have a short flowering period, so it's difficult to synchronise flowering times. Also lilies also like a rich compost by Adam Young

Aftercare of tree lilies
but sheltered border. I have some tree lilies in large pots. They will be fine just like that, at least for a few years. I normally feed occasionally with tomato feed when they are growing. It will prevent the plant from wasting energy if you remove the seed by Jane Heaney

, provided there are no lavae in the compost (or just deal with any that emerge). Lily beetles can be a pest and affect most people who grow lilies, to some extent. But they are not hard to deal with. The best method is to look at the plants regularly by lindapalmara

to get rid of these? I grow a few  lilies and there is a systemic insectiside which kills the grubs as soon as they hatch.  I don't use it as I don't use chemicals but i will track it down for you if you want.  I just watch my lilies carefully and as soon by sal3

Stamped on lilies
an effort next yearbut bulbs don't have a second go as far as Iknow It won't throw up another spike. Friends daughter tripped on the path last year and grabbed a whole pot of lilies to brace her fall, they didn't grow back but are romping away now. by Tim Burr

Calla lily
The leaves and stem have fallen off my indoor calla lily.  Will they grow back, and how do I look after it?   When you say "fallen-off" -do you mean suddenly-or did it just die-back after flowering? They came off in my daughter's hand when she by susan hughes

need to know. I've grown lilies in big baskets and they look fabulous and the blooms last. Also, if you grow lilies in containers you're less likely to have the beetles because you're using fresh soil. helo, i am from romania and i love this bbc by kaycurtis

They are back
week on lillies and fritillaria - yeeuch! Growing lilies for the first time this year ..... I'm waiting for the inevitable onslaught Had a look out today but couldn't see any. Mind you not all my Lilies have sprouted yet. None of my lillies are showing by punkdoc

Skyscraper Lillies
Mypot grown lillies were beautiful this year and I am unsure if I should lift and store them over winter and replant next spring.  I have searched various websites for information and they are contradicting.  Mrs JXP I grow some lilies in pots by JXP
