a go. My wife roasts parsnips in honey and maple syrup. My vocabulary is not of a high enough degree to enable me to express the amazing flavour This is the first time that i am going to grow parsnips.I thought that it would be easy bit it is not by gardeningeek

temps from 27 November, I was able to drag the tub into the house a couple of days before, and defrost enough to harvest them for Christmas dinner. Absolutely amazing flavour!! I have been growing Parsnips for 15 years but this year have had a poor show by Lainey

Tips on types of soil etc for the base of a raised flower bed
is 18 inches high you can put crocks in the bottom to fill it out.but if you want to grow potatoes or parsnips you will need deep good quality soil. by Shorty2

Carrots & Parsnips Companion Planting?
area. I personally don't bother with companion planting. I have a root vegie bed and plant carrots and parsnips next to each other year after year without any problems. I grow carrots and parsnips next to each other with no problems. The only problem by Roxanne Blanton

Container potatoes and veg
Watched a couple of Monty's videos re growing spuds and shallots in containers....he had a bin for the spuds but just a metal bucket for the shallots.  Has anyone tried the shallots like this? Was thinking of trying it with shallots and red onions by Brycey D

Crop Rotations in raised beds
HI My raised bed crop rotation consists of Bed 1: Brassicas Bed 2 Legumes and onions, strawberries Bed 3 salad, parsnips, sweet potatoes, carrots, radish Where in my rotation could I add another extra raised bed of white red and japanese onions by Rosie27

Parsnips in plugs
My allotment attempts at parsnips over the last two years have not been as successful as i would have wished. Indeed I think others on the plot have also suffered. This year I am going to try and start them off in a plug tray and see by andyh147

Carrots
New gardner I live in glasgow.  Built a large raised bed for this year filled with ordinary compost (25 bags) Really keen to grow a variety of veg especially carrots.  Have sown 3-4 rows intemittently since middle april with no success yet parsnips by Teresa McFarlane

what to do
I am new at gardening, I have Parsnips in tubs and some in a small patch, My garden is 10mx10m, lawn in center, 4mx6m, so not alot for growing , lots of pots ,Ihave just lifted my dalias , stored in a tub with shreded paper, we had a frost last week by BW
