Square Foot Gardening
to grow some veggies. I'm doing this with my 4 year old son - he loves it!!!!  So far we have raddish x 2, spring onions x 2, beetroot, salad leaves, peas, dwarf beans - every week we plant a new couple of sqaures to keep him interested - it's great by cliffbutler

planting a raised flower bed
is seasonal flowers in the photo it is Dahlias but now it has daffodils. In the third layer I have climbers the photo shows sweet peas but I am hoping to take a cutting of an evergreen clematis 'Freckles'. As you can spot it has a red and pink theme. Beware by ilovemontydon

Those lovely 'perenial' foxgloves being touted
to be sterile. The traditional foxglove doesn't last very long, but self seeds (even into pea sized gravel) The new foxgloves, illumination pink, are supposedly truly perennial. Got mine last autumn and they're growing fast. I would expect to be able to plait by LearningSlowly

I am sure that I read somewhere that putting down holly leaves will deter mice from eating newly planted peas or beans. Why not invest in the cheaper end of the cloche market -a couple of low profile 1x mtre polytunnels or similar won't cost by mizzzy
