peas are going yellow
My peas had been growing well in a pot but over the last week I have noticed that the leaves at the base of some of the plants are going yellow and now seem to be dying.  They are about 2 foot tall and are flowering. Any suggestions as to what by flowergirl4

Using gravel trays
I would like some info about using gravel trays please.  What sort of gravel is used, is it mixed with sand or anything?  How deep does it have to be, and are the pots just sat on top or buried a little?  They will be used for growing Show Auriculas by Justurned60

Autumn sown sweet peas
says they are lovely. First of all, I wouldn't pay too much attention  to what Monty Dons says about sweet pea growing. Regarding growing them from autumn sowings, they really don't need any heat at all. They are extremely hardy and will cope with say by CathRJ

Sweet peas and potted bulbs
As an avid watcher of Gardeners World, I follow Monty's advice.  I planted some early sweet peas as per his trial.  I have them in the green house.  Nipped out the growing tips as suggested, but they have grown away like mad.  Going to have to put by Ron Langley

Sweet Peas and Frost
Hi I sowed my sweet pea seeds directly into the ground in early March.  Due to the very warm we have just enjoyed they are now growing really well and are about and inch and a half through the soil, although not quite reaching the bottom by Grecian

nipping out young plants
I'm very new to gardening- have always just bought stuff at garden centres before. This year I have tried some mini plugs and even tried some seeds. I have pinched out the tips of sweet peas and geraniums but wonder if I should do the same by Bev Pounsett-Krynauw
