Is it warm enough ?
Is it finally OK to start any vegs outside??? depends on what your growing really, carrots,lettuce,spinach,parsnips will grow if the ground has warmed up to about 12 degrees. veg like onions, peas, potatoes can be put down from march but you need by light42

Where are my vegetables?
of living a bit ....prices of veg are ridiculous!)  The garlic onions and rhubarb are doing really well but everything else seems to be afraid to come out!! I've planted peas, beans potatoes, carrots and beetroot so far and apart from the peas and beans just by Diane Horsley

Best blue flowering plant
poppy. Lithadora Heavenly Blue is wonderful as is Grace Ward. I like Ageratum fluffy plant looks pretty low growing, I like blue cornflower and small blue sweet peas. Blue and yellow flowers do look nice together Do you grow lots of blue flowers by Verdun

I think my green fingers are failing me

also try carrotts off to G/C later see what they have great stuff Thankyou Hi you can grow a whole range of veg in pots...I grew carrots, parsnip, tomatoes, peas and herbs last year . by jamesburke

Talkback: Pea and bean weevils
i have an issue with pest! partically pea moth, my peas are all gone. i have been advised to use lime in my soil after the season, this will help kill them off from the soil? but my Q ? is can i use bog standard lime from a builders merchant, or do by penelope6

what's people in the north west growing at the moment.
to this and growing in pots but i have potaoes(just showing), 2 types of onions(some at 4 "), garlic, carrots (about 1 inch shoots), peppers( indoors), tomatoes ( indoors) and my chillies which are flowering lots which were planted last sept. im hoping last weeks by Drlloyd

Seed growing
Hi everyone I'm new to growing from seed and have a situation I planted seeds in pots using John innes for seed growing. I occasionally water them and they germinated... great! Now the seed compost is rock hard!! I don't want to drown them by Frozz

grow in pots and troughs I wish to reuse the compost as I only use some for a few weeks. I grow peas and  change the compost to plant the next batch. I rotate 5 troughs  planting every 3 weeks and harvesting then replanting so I have a continuous supply by flowerpower5
