Talkback: How to grow sweet peppers
Hi, I planted some sweet pepper seeds at the beginning of June on my south facing windowsill in pots. My first pepper started to grow last week but after about 2 days, the tip went purple. After another 2 days the whole pepper is completely purple by Peppery

Talkback: Growing peppers
I have a friend who's a vegetarian and in September she came over for a meal and I made her a ratatouille lasagne with some of the veggies I grow including sweet peppers. However in November the peppers started to rot on the plant in the greenhouse by Oak Lawn

pinching out
Does anyone knows if we have to pinch out the top of kale and of pepper plantlets? I am growing these for the first time and am ready to plant them out. Answers very much appreciated thanks. No, leave them. Most modern seeds are bred to branch by quiet lady

sweet peppers
how long do they take to germinate 2/3 weeks-not as quick as tomatoes. thanx i sowed 1st batch on 5/5 on windowsill in propegator , I've had them take 4 weeks to germinate. Strange things, peppers. So much slower to germinate and develop than toms by H7
