Picking kale
 http://growcookeatit.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/curly-kale-hero-of-veg-patch.html .  As it says, take some of the leaves from the stems to start with (not the oldest, but not the youngest) that way the growing tip will keep growing and provide you with lots of fresh growth through the winter by CottageGardenFairy

toms & peppers (in a propagator) relatively late, i.e. mid-April, then housing them in the greenhouse till the end of May (I grow lots for a village plant sale). BUT this year, they've not grown strongly and are so TINY, I may only be able to charge 25p by oldchippy

Tomato/Chilli Transplants not growing!
Hi,  I have been growing tomatoes (various cultivars), chilli's and peppers indoors for a few months now in my heated propagator. Once some grew some true leaves I transplanted into 7cm individual pots in fresh multi purpose compost and left in a by Tom Freeman

have a greenhouse but its not heated, I did try growing toms in conservatory the first year, but they went leggy, i'll be waiting till late march early april before doing much. you can sow in january (tomatoes peppers and aubergines inside) Hi can by Gardening Express

. Can anybody advise me....I have been growing bell peppers in the greenhouse, some of which have small holes in them. There is no obvious sign of anything that could be making these holes, I have not been able to find any info via books but the peppers by Chiswickian

Planting seeds in the greenhouse
perspex roof and is probably about 7 degs during the day.   Sorry to say-not warm enough-this is why it is worth waiting so after germination the correct conditions can be provided for growing on Cheers geoff guess im going to have to take over by Kirsty3
