courgette seedlings
cucumbers and hot chilli peppers ( in pots). I grow beetroot, spring onions, radishes, and Chantanay carrots  (in troughs). Worked last year so doing again this year.  Really its a flower garden  My veg plot is one metre square, but my pot plot is around 2 by H7

What DO they put in bags of mixed birdseed?!

year and we are looking forward, having produced a mouse defence system to, to a good crop next year. I made gooseberry jam and put some spare strawberries in. It tasted almost entirely of strawberries and set wonderfully. i would love to grow by Danny

Best Base for Greenhouse?
.  The paved side means I can have a potting bench the length of the GH, which stands on a hard surface and can store pots underneath. At the height of the growing season the bench houses pots of low growing veg like chillies, peppers and aubergines. I grow by AndytheScientist

Talkback: Overwintering chillies
is aphids and have had very littel success in controlling them, would be grateful for any help on this matter I've been growing many chilies for the last five years or so, only last year I tried overwintering them (I wanted to experiment). I brought them by Mandy

Encouraging young gardeners
, when approached and asked to see the gardens and talk to the children, refused to do so. He was too busy. 0/10 and a very poor effort. How horrid...shame on Joe Swift. Well, we need the next generation to know about growing stuff and they need by Woodgreen wonderboy
