Which fruit trees for northern lincolnshire
Can anyone advise on which apple, pear, plum and cherry trees grow best in northern Lincolnshire?  The soil is free draining and the area where they will be planted is mostly sunny throughout the day. by Highwayman

have enough room then growing that sweetest of plums, the Greengage or Goldengage and that most interesting of jamming and cooking plums, the damson (makes great liqueur too), is well worth it. Thanks for a thought provoking blog. I so agree! Living by Grannyanne

strange 'plums'
of little hard round 'plums'- except they weren't plums. I'm wondering what they are and what to do this year to prevent them growing and encourage the others. Ihope this makes sense and thanks in anticipation! Has a plum been grafted onto a wild species by Elaine W

Mirabelle de Nancy plum
I have a had a Mirabelle de Nancy plum tree in my garden for at least 3 years but so far no fruit. It is growing and healthy with long thin branches which point upwards. They each have lots of little 'spurs'? On them. It is fairly close to another by Nanny gardener

Growth on Victoria Plum tree
I have a Victoria Plum in a pot on the patio, it is in good health, provided first plums last year and is carrying plenty of young plums now.  However, it seems to have a thick stubby growth developing - not like a new shoot, but like a wart by tony williams2
