Choosing a damson tree
We want to plant a damson tree this autumn in our woodland garden. It will get plenty of sun in the planned position. We don't want it to grow too large, but we are hoping for a prolific fruiter with good flavour  for jam-making, crumbles, damson by wisehedgecrone

Plum branches pointing down
This thread stems (pardon the pun) from not knowing what a healthy Victoria Plum SHOULD look like. I only know what mine looks like, and it looks a bit sad! It's around 10 years old now (about 8 of which have been in my garden) with a main stem by Beamo

How many fruit trees?
be able to put into the space ( I think I read somewhere that some trees as cordons can be planted 2 foot apart)? Can you suggest any trees to go in, I'm thinking along the lines of a dessert apple, a pear, plum or damson trees? Are there any combinations by Richardsdrr

Talkback: Frogs
as it will be the rootstock trying to grow. If that happens, usually you end up losing the top bit to the original rootstock. What a big frog! They both seem to be looking into the distance, so I would suggest the frog is asking for directions.Frog: "Excuse me, do you know by G Wallis

Plant for tub under carport - light but no sun
begonias grow in shade. If green then hostas, Brunnera Jack Frost; if purple, I have a heuchera Plum Pudding in a pot in shade, perhaps other varieties of heuchera as well. Hosta would be a good idea, and I could keep an eye out for slugs !! I will have by Mari Williams
