Plum Tree
I have had a plum tree in my old garden where i used to live and upon moving to a new home i took it with me and had it in a large planter it did well last year producing a small crop so i waited until the autumn until all the leaves had by Rushie

but I never knew that you had to destroy it. Thanks' so much. This was my first year of growing fruit trees. They are bush type apple pear plum and cherry.I had no fruit at all, would this be normal for the first year? I also had leaf blotches and curled by chantalou

Are these the same as wild strawberries. I was recommended to grow these so i ordered some seed online late february. They grow slowly once germingated, but are coming on now and i think they are ready to plant out in a few weeks time. Can't wait by happymarion

Even more confused about fruit tree choice now...

tomato seedling plants
Has anyone had tomato seedling plants which have grown from disgarded tomatoes thrown into the general garden compost bin.  I mixed some garden compost with garden soil before I planted my sweetpea seeds then later found tomato seedlings growing too by Welsh Daffodil

Broken plum tree
Hi, I woke up this morning to a very sad sight; my lovely plum tree has completely broken off in the rain last night, leaving just the forked trunk, no branches now at all. It had produced a huge glut of fruit this year, like bunches of grapes, so I by ellsapelle

types have big leaves. Hi Gavin, GW identified this for me last year as being ERIBOTRYA JAPONICA which is also known as Japanese Plum and Japanese Medlar.  Got further information online and it is supposed to have white flowers but this has never by Gavin Lambert
