Potato blight
I tweeted Thompson & Morgan with a picture of my potatos as I thought they may have blight. They tweeted back saying it looked like the start of it and to try something called bordeaux spray. Can anyone tell me if this is worth the cost i.e does by forest_gardener

Talkback: Potato blight and Bordeaux Mixture
. Agree there are other potatoes I like more flavour-wise. Bristol has been bad for blight recently so i am trying some resistant varieties but also growing more earlies and making dinners to freeze with them so I can still have their taste even past by Green Horn

Talkback: Chitting potatoes
and plant the potatoes. As the stems grow put another car tyre on the first one and fill with compost. Keep this going until you have about 4 car tyres and keep the compost well watered. When it comes to harvesting you just remove the tyres one by one by softyglo

gunky potatoes
Hi , last year my three year old son and myself attempted to grow potatoes.  It was far from a sucess. They ended up all mushy and gunky.  I dug them all up and turned the soil. I filled it with home grown compost and covered it down for the winter by Marge Doran Keenan

BIG meal of grown vegs!
Sunday was the BIG day - the first of the potatoes and carrots I have ever grown.  Three potaotes (one 2 1/2 inches, one 1 inch and one 1/2 inch) and one carrot measuring a whopping 1 inch!!  Think I had better wait a few more weeks before pulling by Julie J
