What compost mix for poataoes in sacks?
the plant needed some foliage showing to collect the sun and fuel the potatoe growth? You don't cover the foliage forever.  After a bit you allow the top to grow into a bushy plant.  This year I am trying something new with my sacks.  I planted the potatoes by HyppyByker

Asparagus
buy from on supplier and the smallest pack of crowns they sell is 10. I live in a rental so most of my growing is done in containers... so I have two questions. Will asparagus grow in a container (I was thinking of a potato or tomato bag) and how much by ThePotsmith

Advice for a new veg grower

Which spuds to get...
Estima and Wilja. Wilja are nice and creamy when mashed. Main crop,Desire. I've still to go to the local potato fair but with only two spare growing bags and Red Duke of York a favourite, was going to go for another main crop to fill the last bag by Zoomer44
