Primula - growing from seed
Hello one & all My question is :-  Can I grow primula denticulata (drumstick primula) from seed?  And if so, how & when?  I've recently joined this site and really enjoy reading the exchanges of info on various aspects of gardening. Thanks for any by nikki 7

Unusual Cowslip seeding
I grow cowslips from my own collected seed each year as its just so easy and they are great spring plants.  I know that they can cross pollinate quite readily and often find variations in the flower colour, size and form.  This year, I came across by NCFCcrazy

Candelabra Primulas.

Cowslips in July ????
flower normally grows in water meadow type fields.Yours could well be a late Primula Florindae a giant cowslip which grows and flowers in summer, (what summer you may ask).Primula comes in many shapes and forms a lot of them yellow and you can tell by Linda Taylor2

.... could i have one i lov it I've had a peachy,pink daffodil growing in my garden for years. It's never been very robust, & this year only had one bloom.Is this a rarity in the daffodil world? I love primulas too but my garden in Cornwall dries out by emma townshend

My primula a are coming to an end can I keep them for another year.  If so what do I do with them?  I also have some violas can I keep those.  I know this seems petty but I don't want to throw plants away unnecessarily They are both perennial by Caz8

What is this?
Hello everyone Been out generally clearing the beds and spotted a couple of these.  .   Not the clearest pictures.   The leaves seem to be growing from some sort of crown which is above the soil level. Any ideas? Thanks Mine look the same, think by hollie hock

Mystery Plants from inherited garden
garden.     Firey-red flower...?     And is this any use or is it a weed?     Thanks in advance!  I'm kind of a newb at this and I appreciate your feedback!   The 2 purplish ones are primulas, the shrub MIGHT be an esacallonia, the fiery one might be a by Jennifer Calland

Dry Bank..need suggestions
to dig up &  very easy to propogate. It's my type of plant. Also what about the yellow primose? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primula_vulgaris They seem to grow everywhere, spread like mad & look lovely in spring, just let them get on with it Spring bulbs by JASON GRAHAM
