Talkback: Pumpkins for Halloween
Went for a brilliant trip to the Savill Gardens and loved their display of pumpkins and squash. I have grown many varieties over the years but have decided that next year I'm going to grow enough to make a display that will be worth walking along by Ag Spray

Hi all I've grown squash relatively succesfully for over ten years, bt this year I've had major problems with seed germination (3 from 24). My guess is that it's been too cold, even though they are in a polytunnel, but wonder if anyone else has had by greenfingaz

What is it
rather than a Courgette. I have the yellow ball courgette this year I was told to pick it at tennis ball size. Mine is doing very well. Id do as MuddyFork has suggested and try one I would have said it could be a Pumpkin or Squash, too Pam x by Nigelp45

Courgettes
. Thanks for your help. You sure can grow courgettes on compost heaps as long as there's plenty of sun as figrat says. Squash and pumpkins, too. Look at the number of volunteer veg that pop up from compost heaps. Good - all of the compost heaps are in full by Heather4

FEED UP WITH THIS WEATHER
. Not risking risking courgettes, squash or toms outdoors just yet but toms are planted in the GH bed. Am going to try growing Atlantic Giants this year myself, on a raised no dig bed with plenty of well rotted manure in the bottom layers as they do like by shaun_lincoln
