but not full sun. I would say anything that grows in full sun, just be wary of the amount of moisture available though as the tree will take alot of it. Thanks Dave , could be trial and error then ... Goes from very wet (sloping field behind draining through by Bunny..

Advice for a novice

using ash from wood and brickettes in the garden
the briquette ash though as it may contain traces of heavy metals which are not good for plants or animals, including us. Plants to avoid using the wood ash on include (but are not limited to): Acer, Azalea, Camelia, Heather, Rhododendron, Blueberry, Cranberry by twinkletoes2

Flowering plants that like shade
of the fence dividing my garden and next doors, i have put in ferns, foxgloves, (busy lizzies in the summer) and the odd rhododendron bush there as well, however i would like a bit more colour down this side of the garden so its balanced out, the soil becomes by Danielm2323

when they are ready? I have a beautiful Rhododendron which has been in the shadow of a big fir we have recently removed. One side of the plant appears to be dead. If I cut it right back will it come again? HiI am new to growing things, second year.I am by John.J.R.P.

Problems with newly planted topiary box hedge.
of these are growing just great, but one isnt looking too good. Now I bought these box plants from b&q there were about 10 in the pack haha! The one that currently isnt looking good has replaced one that wasnt good - in the same spot!?! Ok, took note of that about by Pauly D
