what jobs done over easter.
Hi what have people done over the weekend, i managed to get some french dwarf beans in but have covered with a fleece as still cold in wiltshire, seed looking slow in the Polly tunnel cos lettuce coming though and rocket looking well, onion sets by barbury gardener

Completely new to veg growing
it hot. Whereas Runner Beans don't seem to be that fussed. Jackie frost; Lettuce, rocket, carrots (which are cheap to buy, but home grown are delish) If I had space I would grow globe artichokes - I did when I first moved here and one plant took up almost by jackie frost

i am getting married on 29th may in my late mothers garden there is a large calla plant i would love to use the flowers for my wedding will they be in flower by then. Lizzy, very hard to say, as I can't be sure what variety she was growing, or what by rurfarratense

what are these?
gardening in a rural or built up area? Only asking because it might give some insight as to whether these are seed borne weeds. Do you have valerian growing near you? It might be helpful if you can pull up one of these mystery seedlings and post a pic by Lorea

New Years Day flower count
'Bowles Mauve', Cyclamen coum, 2 species of sarcococca, sweet rocket, Liriope muscari, Ompholodes verna, Lonicera frangrantissima, Mahonia, probably 'Charity', Choisya ternata, aconites, primroses, daises, red and white dead nettles.  Frustratingly close by nutcutlet
