Roses growing through Hazle mounds at Chelsea
watching Chelsea last week in the laurent perrier garden they had the most gorgeous roses growing in mounds through a framework of hazle, I've never seen anything like this before but it was fantastic way of training roses as it gave some height by notgreenfingers2

Standard rose growing funny, help please - new gardener
knack to pruning old rose bushes to stop them growing too tall.  Can anybody remember what the tip was?  I have some old roses in the front garden which I cut down to about 12" each spring and they're just growing taller and taller with all the flowers by Kitty77

I don't grow Lilac anymoe because of suckers, Quince is another culprit, and Roses, but I still grow Roses for their wonderful perfume and colour,I do have a miniture Lilac in a pot, and still grow quince but nothing else with suckers. by kaycurtis

best shrub rose for an east fence
variety and scented. Do any roses of that description do well in this situation? Thanks for your thoughts I have a climbing white rose, Winter White growing on an enclosed east facing fence as well as a shrub rose, Rhapsody in Blue facing east on trellis by freshairfanatic
